Are the Smooth Company products cruelty free?

Yes! All of our products are 100% cruelty free. Materials for all of our products are all ethically sourced, including the boar bristle hair for our Mane Master brush.

What is the Smooth Stick™?

The Smooth Stick™ is a specially formulated premium hair styling finishing wand designed to help keep all baby and broken hairs in place all day long. This one flick, hair stick is easy to use on the go so you can keep your hair smooth all day. The transparent formula won't leave your hair hard or greasy and to remove it you just simply brush out.

How long will a Smooth Stick Bottle last? 

If you use daily, your Smooth Stick will last around 6-8 weeks. Top tip - if you want it to last even longer, try not to double dip your wand into the tube as this causes air bubbles to get trapped in the tube which can lead to it drying out faster!

How much Smooth Dream should I use? 

We reccomend that you begin with a pea sized amount and add more if necessary. The formula is buildable, flexible and brushes straight out so feel free to expeirment and find out what works best for you!

How can I clean my Detangling Brush? 

To keep your brush performing at its best, we recommend the following care steps:

1. Gently remove any hair trapped in the bristles.

2. Clean using warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly to remove any residue.

3. Leave to air dry with the bristles facing downward.

Regular cleaning helps maintain hygiene and ensures your brush stays in excellent condition — ready to glide through your hair with ease every time!

How can I clean my Mane Master™?

Your Mane Master™ is lovingly made with natural wood, painted details, and premium bristles — so it deserves a little TLC to keep it looking (and working) its best. Here’s how to keep it clean and happy:

1. After each use, gently remove any trapped hair with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb to prevent build-up.

2. Mix a small amount of gentle shampoo or mild soap with lukewarm water — but avoid soaking the whole brush, as water and wood don’t mix well!

3. Dip a clean toothbrush or soft cloth into the soapy water and softly scrub the bristles and base. Be careful not to saturate the wooden handle or painted areas.

4. Wipe the brush with a clean, damp cloth to remove any soap residue. Then, dry the bristles with a towel and lay the brush bristle-side down to air dry completely.

Important: Never submerge your Mane Master™ in water — this can damage the wood and paint over time.

Top Tip: Give your Mane Master™ a gentle clean every 1–2 weeks for the smoothest, healthiest hair experience!

Do your products work on all hair types?

Are your products coloured?

You may have guessed by now our favourite colours are blue & green but you will be glad to hear the formula for all of our products are completely clear, leaving them undetectable once applied to the hair.

My sister keeps stealing my products. What can I do?

Your sister has great taste. Unfortunately we can't stop her from taking yours but what we can do is help share some sister love with a 10% discount code - sister10 . You are welcome. We also reccomend treating yourself to a personalised Mane Master so she has no excuse for mixing them up!

Are the products suitable for children? 

While our products are not designed for children, we use gentle ingredients and all of our products are demalogically tested. As always, ensure to patch test before using products.

What happens if I enter the wrong shipping address/need to amend my order?

Don’t worry – these things happen! If you notice a mistake with your shipping details or order, just pop us an email at info@thesmoothcompany.com as soon as possible, and we’ll do our very best to update your address before your order is dispatched. Please note, we aren’t able to add extra items to an order once it’s been placed — but you can always pop back onto the site and place another order anytime!

Can I order without The Smooth Company branding on the packaging?

Absolutely! We totally understand that some orders are meant to be a special surprise. If you’d prefer your delivery to arrive a little more smoothly and low-key, email us at info@thesmoothcompany.com. Our warehouse team are super quick at packing orders, so it’s best to let us know right before or straight after you place your order. We’ll do our very best to get this organised and keep your surprise safe (and smooth!).

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, we do! All orders over €75 in Ireland and the UK qualify for free shipping because a smooth shopping experience is just as important as smooth hair!

Will I receive a confirmation email after placing my order?

Yes! Once your order has been placed successfully, you’ll receive a confirmation email from us within a few minutes. If you don’t see it in your inbox, be sure to check your junk or spam folder — sometimes our emails like to hide there! If it’s still missing, just send us an email at info@thesmoothcompany.com and we’ll be happy to help.

All Irish orders are sent via An Post and DPD. All UK, EU, US/CANADA, AUS and Rest of the World orders are shipped with DHL.

Orders placed before 1pm are typically dispatched on the same day.

Refunds

Return Process 

We hope you love your Smooth Company purchase, but if you change your mind, that’s okay too. We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. Your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unopened, unused, and in its original packaging for the return to be accepted.

Steps

1. Contact Us: To be eligible for a return, you must first contact us at info@thesmoothcompany.com. Please include your proof of purchase.
2. Return Instructions: If your return is accepted, we will email you instructions on how and where to send your package. Please note that if there is no fault with the product(s), it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure the goods are returned safely to us via a postal or courier service. This cost must be covered by the customer. If a refund is issued, we will refund the monetary value of the goods returned to us, less the delivery charges you incurred when you ordered.
3. Inspection and Refund: We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded. Please note that we will refund back to the original method of payment charged only (e.g., credit card, debit card, PayPal) and this will take 2-10 days, depending on the bank.

Damage & Issues 

Damages and issues We take pride in our products and hope you have no issues with yours. On the very off chance this occurs, please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. We will repair, replace, or exchange the product(s) when you contact us about the issue within 7 days of receiving your package. Please send any photographs or videos that you have of the issue so our Customer Care team can best assist you.

When a Smooth Company product(s) is purchased via a third-party retailer, your contract of sale is with that particular retailer and therefore any product(s) purchased cannot be refunded or replaced directly through The Smooth Company.
